 July Photo Club Meeting

This meeting will be the last opportunity to bring your mounted prints for submission into the club’s Richland Library Photography Show. The submission form should be adhered to the back of the mounted photograph. A copy of the form has been included with this email (Please excuse the 2018 date!).  And remember, there is a limit of three (3) photographs per club member.

R&R Photo Lab in Spokane can mount photos when prints are ordered. Their website can be found at and the phone number is (509) 325-3456.

Locally, Klais Antiques & Creative Framing does photo mounting. The contact there is Charlene and the phone number is (509) 943-0002.  It is located at 1007 Gillespie St in Richland.

Topic:  Taking Better Photographs

Have you wondered what makes a good photograph? Wanted to understand what small changes can be made to make your picture pop? Then this is the meeting for you.  The July meeting will include a short presentation on Depth of Field and finding you camera lens’s sweet spot.  There will also be a group critique of photos to help explain the changes that can improve an image.

At the meeting there will be information presented on a needed change to the Club’s Articles of Incorporation which will be voted on at the August general club meeting.

Do you have a favorite picture from one of the recent photo walks? Or perhaps one from a recent outing or taken in your own backyard?  Consider sharing it with the club. Please print an 8×10 or 11×14 of your best/favorite shot to display. Keep the photos to no larger than 11×14.  We will have a spot set up for them.
